BRIDAL TERMS, POLICIES & PROCEDURES

Please take a moment to review the following policies before booking your wedding date.

Thank you for considering Erika Mont Makeup Artist for your wedding day.

Your wedding day is incredibly personal, and my goal is to make your beauty experience feel calm, organized, personalized, and enjoyable from the moment you book through the final touch-up.

Please take a moment to carefully review the following Bridal Terms, Policies & Procedures before securing your wedding date. These policies are designed to create clear expectations for both the client and the artist and to ensure a smooth wedding-day experience.

GENERAL

• Bridal makeup and hair services are available in-studio and on location throughout Los Angeles and surrounding areas.

• Wedding-day services are reserved exclusively for the client and bridal party listed in the booking agreement.

• All bridal services are personalized according to the client's desired look, wedding aesthetic, timeline, location, and number of services requested.

• Bridal bookings are based on the specific services reserved in the agreement, not simply the number of hours the artist is present.

• A quote or inquiry does not guarantee availability or reserve a wedding date.

• Availability is first come, first served and dates are only officially secured once the required booking retainer and signed agreement have been received.

BOOKING & SECURING YOUR DATE

Wedding Date

To officially reserve your wedding date, the following must be completed:

  1. A signed bridal booking agreement

  2. A 50% non-refundable retainer

Your date is not considered officially booked until both requirements have been received.

Because wedding dates are limited and reserved exclusively for each client, I may decline other inquiries or bookings once your date has been secured.

Rates, terms, and availability may change until your booking has been officially secured.

Retainer

A 50% non-refundable retainer is required to reserve your wedding date.

The retainer is applied toward your contracted balance and is not an additional fee.

The retainer is non-refundable in the event of cancellation and cannot be transferred to another person or event.

PAYMENTS

The remaining balance is due 7 days prior to the wedding date, unless otherwise stated in your individual booking agreement.

Accepted forms of payment: Cash, Venmo, Zelle, or PayPal.

Gratuity is not included and is entirely at the client's discretion.

CANCELLATIONS

Cancellation must be made at least 14 days prior to your reserved wedding date.

The retainer is non-refundable and will be applied toward the total amount due. In the event of cancellation, any payments already made will be retained and applied toward the applicable cancellation balance.

Cancellation must be communicated directly to Erika Mont in writing.

Because your wedding date is reserved exclusively for you, cancellations with short notice may prevent the artist from accepting another booking for that date.

RESCHEDULING

If you need to change your wedding date, please contact me as soon as possible.

A retainer may be transferred to a new wedding date only if the new date is available and the request is made at least 14 days before the original wedding date.

If the new date is unavailable, the change will be treated as a cancellation and the applicable cancellation policy will apply.

A rescheduled wedding may be subject to current pricing and updated travel fees.

CHANGES TO SERVICES & BRIDAL PARTY

Please communicate any changes to your bridal party, requested services, location, or wedding-day schedule as soon as possible.

Additional services may be added when availability allows.

Reducing services after the booking has been secured does not result in a refund of the retainer.

Changes to the contracted services may affect the required timeline, additional artist needs, travel, or total balance.

The final booking agreement will reflect the services reserved for your wedding day.

TRAVEL & ADDITIONAL FEES

For on-location services, travel and additional fees may apply based on the location, timing, services, and requirements of your booking.

Additional fees may include, but are not limited to:

  • Travel and mileage

  • Parking or valet

  • Tolls

  • Early start fees

  • Additional artist(s)

  • Touch-ups or extended coverage

  • Additional service time

  • Relocation between locations

  • Waiting/idle time

  • Additional services requested on the wedding day

Any applicable fees will be included in your proposal or booking agreement whenever possible. Fees resulting from last-minute additions, delays, or changes may be due on the date of service.

PARKING, VALET & TOLLS

Any required parking, valet, tolls, venue access fees, or similar charges incurred while providing on-location services are the responsibility of the client unless specifically included in the original proposal.

EARLY START FEE

An early start fee may apply to services beginning before 7:00 AM and will be included in your proposal or booking agreement.

ADDITIONAL ARTIST(S)

For larger bridal parties or timelines requiring additional support, an additional artist may be recommended or required.

Any additional artist fee will be communicated and approved in advance.

TOUCH-UPS & EXTENDED COVERAGE

Touch-ups and extended on-location coverage are available when requested and subject to availability.

Additional time is charged at the applicable hourly rate and must be arranged in advance whenever possible.

SECOND LOOKS & STYLE CHANGES

Additional bridal looks, hair changes, or makeup changes must be discussed and booked in advance whenever possible.

Second looks are subject to availability and may require additional time, touch-up coverage, or travel/relocation fees.

WEDDING DAY TIMELINE

A personalized wedding-day beauty timeline will be created once all services, members of the bridal party, location, and required completion time have been confirmed.

Please arrive on time for your scheduled service. Delays can affect the entire wedding-day timeline.

To help ensure a smooth experience:

  • Please be ready and available at your scheduled service time.

  • Avoid unnecessary distractions, interruptions, or guests in the service area during appointments.

  • Please communicate any schedule changes as soon as possible.

  • A 15-minute grace period is provided.

Delays beyond the grace period may result in additional waiting/idle-time fees and may affect the services that can be completed within the scheduled timeline.

The artist cannot guarantee completion of services when significant delays impact the agreed-upon schedule.

SERVICE LOCATION REQUIREMENTS

For on-location services, the client is responsible for providing a clean, spacious, and comfortable workspace.

Please provide:

  • A sturdy table for the artist to set up

  • Good natural or artificial lighting

  • Access to an electrical outlet

  • Enough space for the artist and professional equipment

Please note: Bathroom vanities, sinks, or very small counter spaces are not suitable workstations for professional makeup or hair services.

For makeup services, please arrive with clean, makeup-free skin unless otherwise discussed.

For hair services, hair should be clean and completely dry unless otherwise instructed.

Clients are encouraged to wear a robe, button-down, zip-up, or other clothing that can be removed without disturbing completed makeup or hair.

BRIDAL TRIAL

A bridal trial is recommended for brides who would like to preview and refine their wedding-day makeup and/or hair look.

Trials are booked separately from wedding-day services unless specifically included in your package.

Please arrive with clean, makeup-free skin and bring inspiration photos or references for your desired look.

A trial helps establish the overall look and feel for the wedding day but does not reserve your wedding date.

Trial appointments are non-refundable once booked.
